Consagrado

Well this was a great week, lots of learning instead of teaching. On Wednesday*** we went down to Saltillo (for my last time) and we had a really really good conference we learned about obedience and faith. My mission presidente gave me a pin that is called el misionero consagrado so that is a pretty nice way to be finish up the mission. And then it was general conference, which was super good! I liked it a lot, anyways I will see you guys in a few weeks! Love you a ton!

[And now our regular letter]:

This was a good week, but rather uneventful. We are working and working and working looking for news. We found quite a few but no one went to church! So we gotta go see if they really want to listen, but yeah all is normal. I was pretty sad to hear about Elder Scott... Well I hope all you guys watch General Conference!

A Goooooooooooooood Week

This was a real goooood week. We are looking for new people and we didn't have tons of success until Saturday night while getting free hot dogs from our neighbors :) A family came up and talked with us and they are super interested! SO that was a cool blessing. Umm the zona is way different but its cool. OH it was the 16th of Sept (independence day) and there were lots of cool things, I took a picture of downtown which was cool. Also today for lunch we ate the impossible pizza at this pizza place. All is well, and its not as hot! But yeah love you guys tons!

Last Transfers

This was a very good week. It was the last week of the change so as a zone we tried to get tons of new invesgatores for the new transfer and the zone did really good. We spent most of the week doing that looking and looking for news. We today we got the changes which was very exciting because its was my last transfers ever, so I was pretty nervous and it turns out I am staying! One more transfer as Zone Leader and then I'll be home pretty scary! But probably the coolest thing that happened was on Sunday, we got to go be a part of the Mexico city temple rededication which was way cool, Elder Holland gave an awesome talk - it was very special and I liked it a lot!
Anyways that's pretty much it, but I love you guys!

Oh yeah, in our zone meeting we drew Mordor for our zone, because we live next to Mordor!

Noche de Talentos Misional

This was a very good week :) We had to tons of exchanges but I had fun heading out to some other areas. On Thursday we went down to Saltillo for another leadership conference and that was really really cool. I got to see my old comp Elder Aramburu again, and we had the conference in my very first chapel in the mission. It was pretty weird to be back there... And when we got back the same day we had a Noche de Talentos Misional which was the bomb. Tons of people came out and participated. I played a song in the talent show which was also quite fun. Ummm Today we went to a buffett which was super tasty and yeah, all it good up here in Monclovita la Bella.

Muchos Bautismos

This was another very rewarding week. We had another few baptisms. We baptised the children of two families that we have been reactivating, very good people and the kids are super funny. The ward has been getting really excited by the baptism and we were able to be a baltizbarrio or all four of the elders here in the ward we got to baptise someone so that was really cool as well.

Our zone has also been doing good, we were the best zone of the mission for the month of August so I just am really really proud of those elders :,) They just have been working so hard! A cool expirence we had is that we met a dude from India his name is Revi and he only knows English and ¿Indian? But he came to our volleyball activity and to church, SO COOL! But yeah right now in Guadalupe there are lots of good things going on!

Well Love you guys, I hope all is well!

She fasted and she's only 11!

This was a very good and rewarding week. Our investigator Natalie was baptised! She is the bomb, We would have baptised her like 3 months ago BUT her dad did not want to get baptised so we did a fast with her (She fasted and she's only 11!) so that her dad would let her, and he did! He even came to the baptism! Super cool.

Also we went bowling which was way fun, and just over all the zone is doing really good, I am so proud of those guys :,) But yeah its been an awesome week, I hope all is well at home!
Love you guys!

Gospel in Action

Well this was a very good week, we had to head down to Saltillo for a leadership council and that was fun. I really had missed Elder Aramaburu so it was cool to see him. We also out of nowhere there are now just tons of people that want to be baptised in the area so that's real exciting! One investigator we have named Natalie had been wanting to be baptised for a while now. We fasted with her because she couldn't be baptised without her dad's permission and he didn't want her to do it, and he totally gave her permission! Its always really cool to see the Gospel in action! But well I love you guys!

Monclovita la Bella

Well so we had a fantastic week. I got a new companion - Elder Morales, he is from Puebla, Puebla, super cool, he was in Palau before I got there so we talk about that quite a bit. So this week we found lots of people that are very interested in the church, and really like learning about it, lots of people came to church. So one family that came to church with us was a less active family, that hadn't gone to church in 15 years and they came :D They were happy to be back and it was awesome to seem them there. There is a lot of progress in the area and its freaking sweet. The heat is still around. We hit a solid 50 degrees Celsius the other day [that's 122 degrees to you and me]. It was pretty warm that day... But yeah all is good here in Monclovita la bella!

Send em to My House

This was a good week, but it went by WAY fast. We found lots of new people, brought a super cool investigator to the baptism of her daughter in law, and got a A/C Unit in the house :D It was the last week of the change so that was kind of nerve racking, but the it turned out in the whole zone only my companion is leaving! I was made Zone Leader1 and a elder named Elder Morales is gonna be my companion. I am excited but I really enjoyed having an American companion. I was happy even though its hot, also I am learning a little guitar so that's fun.

Cool story so we are teaching a guy named Victor, and Victor was talking with the missionaries in his work, so one day he said a prayer and said well God if you want me to listen to these guys send em to my house, and the next day we knocked on his door, pretty crazy, also a testimony that this is the Lord's work! But I love you guys a bunch, I hope all is well!

Investigadores

This was a very rewarding week. We worked hard all week, and we kinda thought it added up to nothing, but THEN - a new investigator just showed up at church out of no where and she loved it! And another wild card investigator came and we met with her after and she told us that she got her answer! SO that was awesome.

Also today someone had the bright idea to go play basketball in the heat so we did that, it was pretty fun, but never have I ever sweated so much in my entire life. But yeah life here is good, I hope all is well over there!

Love you guys!

Hamburgers, Monopoly and a Seventy

This was a very good week! We had little time in the area but we got some stuff done, the area is progressing nicely. We had little time in the area because we had a Seventy come visit the mission and we were preparing for him to come, and were with him a lot. Elder Piper came we had a zone conference Friday, and then Friday night we took a bus down to Saltillo, and there we had a leadership conference with him. He was very inspiring, and talked a lot about things that we need as a zone, so that's was cool. We are gonna give some mad follow up tomorrow in a zone meeting, so that's exciting.

Also today we had a fun, make hamburgers and play monopoly day, so that was some good times. Also yesterday we hit 48º or 118º ITS SO HOT, I mean its 92º in my house when I wake up! But it's cool (hahaha  get it). We have good air conditioning and we drink like 5 liters of water every day.
Anyways love you guys!

The Heat Hasn't Killed Us Yet

Hello! Well, so this week was good. We had a lot of days when no one was home and we just walked all day, but we are hanging in there. The heat still hasn't killed us so that's good, hahaha just kidding! We stay alive by drinking pina-colada water all day every day so we are good. Umm this coming up week we will be having an Elder of the Seventy [a General Authority] come to the mission, Elder Piper and he's gonna come to our zone conference so that will nerve racking.. :/ But we are  pumped full of pina colada juice and READY to GO. But yeah that's all sorry - that not much happened this week. But I love you guys!

P.S. Oh but we did get cool Mexican jerseys from the world cup and we rode in a cool army car!

Proud to be an American

This was a great week, SO Tuesday normal day, Wednesday was a half day and then we went down to Saltillo to a leadership conference, we were there until Thursday afternoon and then got back on Friday I went and did exchanges with a elder in the zone and then on Saturday my comp picked me up in the morning with the president's wife and we went and checked half of the missionaries' houses in Monclova, and then just normal stuff, but it was a rather long week! But then on Saturday we decided we had to get some fireworks because it was America's BIRTHDAY so we were looking and looking until I thought to ask the store owner in front of our house if he had some, and he said yeah just don't tell anyone, and we just said sounds gooood, so we bought some fireworks from our neighbor and celebrated America's birthday RIGHT and it made me VERY proud to be an American. But yeah that was my week.
Love you guys!

It's so Hot that it's Cool

Well this was a very good week! I am back in Monclova in the HEAT but its super fun. My comp is Elder Aramburu he's from Utah so he's my official first American companion so that cool, and the others elders in the ward also speak English. We've got one from Idaho and one from Canada so its way fun. The area is cool, it's been really worked so we are having to think of new ideas on how to find new invesgatores but its cool. And being zone leader is a lot of late nights but its fun. But i am good, and happy. Well..Adios!
Love you guys

El amor de Dios

This was a very good and rewarding week. It wasn't hot! Nice and cloudy all week, and we had some really good lessons. There are 3 people here who will be baptised in the next month so that's very exciting. I think the best thing was when I gave a talk on missionary work, I tried to do it in a way that would call their attention and it worked. I just talked about how God loves us and how much we mean to him and how he wants everyone to live with him again. I have never have a congregation give me so much attention here, so that was cool.

And last night I got a call from the assistants, and I was thinking I was going to train a new missionary. I picked the phone up and started talking - but nope, I was called as a Zone Leader in Monclova (In my old zone actually) So I am leaving tomorrow. But Palau was fun while it lasted! SO yeah only a month and 2 weeks here but it was cool. Anyways that's my update,..
Love you guys

But rewarding, In the pics I am with one of my ZLs and we happen to dress exactly the same, and the other is me with chorizo with is like raw sausage the you cook yourself and its Mouth watering good. But yeah that was my week!

Noches de Hogar

This was a very good week! Everything is going by SUPER fast here. We had some awesome Noches de Hogar [Home Evenings]. Something happened to me that never ever happened before - a member took us in his car and the whole day he just brought us around with his friends. It was amazing! And I got a cool cowboy hat! (see photo) And the other thing is a member lent us a tiny little projector she has for an activity that we do on Friday, and we had been watching animated stories from the Book of Mormon on our ceiling before going to sleep. It's the best!
