The Rules of Electricity

Hello! This week was good! Fairly normal, and hot. We have been trying to find new people recently but man people are so bad at giving addresses, we walk for like half an hour to try to find a place that doesn't even exist, rather frustrating. Also so in Mexico the government is super distrusting of the people and they have tons of rules about electricity and water and if you break a rule you have to pay a TON, and sometimes people change the little machine that records how much electricity is used so they don't have to pay as much. And so two stories! First one of investigators her husband recently passed away but he changed this little machine so they were paying like 70 pesos every two months for their electricity which is like nothing, its what we pay as missionaries because we just never use lights. But so the government might check her lights so she could use some prayers!

But so this kinda happened with Juana in my old area. She shared her lights with her neighbors for like a month which is super illegal here, and the government found out and she also had to pay a ton, but we said a prayer and we was being super faithful to things like reading her scriptures and praying,etc... But yeah the government let her off easy! Cool little story.
Okay also other funny thing so Mexico played this Sunday in the world cup at 11 and our church meetings start at 11, so their was like 20 people at church. And then Mexico lost hehehe
But yeah have a great week!

It's raining in my Bathroom

Hello! So this week was very wet! It has rained super hard everyday this week, so at least its not hot! But we have found out that our upstairs bathroom leaks through the skylight a little so our bathroom has just been constantly wet. Well so my new comp is really cool, his name is Elder Hinojosa - he has 20 months in the mish so he's quite old, and he was the trainer of my comp in the MTC! So he has many funny stories about him.

Also super strange thing, so my first week in Mexico in my first area me and my comp visited a family and and taught a family a little lesson and the sister of the mother of the family was there and she really liked the lesson but didn't live in our area so not a whole ton happened with her UNTIL NOW. She's my investigator! HERE! And we are gonna baptise her in two weeks! Crazy!

But yeah also, the world cup! Its pretty funny to me how important it is here, but Mexico just won! So that's cool. But yeah everything is good here!
Tengan un buena semana!

GGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLLL

Hello! So this week was super good! I am loving my new area! The ward is pretty cool, and its super tiny so we don't walk a whole ton. But so super funny thing, so the world cup is going on right now and that's what Mexico is alllll about. So Mexico played the other day and every time Mexico scored a goal we could hear all of the houses yelling, GGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!! It was pretty funny.

And also quote from this week: "It's good to meet a real white person.¨
I thought it was pretty funny when a dude on the street told me that. But yeah all things are good down here in Mexico!
Love you guys!

In which I speak for 15 min

HELLO! So this week was great. So first of all I have another transfer, so tomorrow I am leaving the area. BUT this week we had a super cool experience. So we are teaching this lady named Abagail and when we met her she had all sorts of problems with her health, heart problems, she hurt her arm, and cancer. But she knew the missionaries before and felt impressed to ask for a blessing and when we met with her we gave her a blessing. And we saw her again thursday and she doesn't have anything anymore. Her heart problems left, her arm is better, and she doesn't have cancer! We were blown away but yeah, this work is true! And God is with us, it was a good week. But yeah so tomorrow I am leaving again so I am sure that I will have some cool experiences this week! Also I gave a

15 min talk in church yesterday! So that was cool as well.
Love you guys

A Privilege not a Duty

Well so this week was good! We spent alot of time in meeting with a seventy Elder Johnson so that was super sweet. We had two meetings with him in one we learned how to become better missionaries and in the other we had the meeting with all three of the stakes here in Saltillo. It was a really spiritual experience and one of my favorite things that I heard was that ¨Reading the scriptures is not a duty, it isn't homework that we must do, it is a privilege. A privilege to communicate with our Heavenly Father through the scriptures, to hear his voice.¨ I thought that was a really cool way to look at reading the scriptures. Also This week I played with a BOA! It was sweet. a little gross but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. But yeah not much has happened and I am happy to be out here! Also reread the general conference talks THEY ARE AWESOME!
Con amor
